Ludovica Lirosi, born on April 7 in Rome, is a director, actress, and screenwriter. She started her artistic journey at the theater school "Permis de Conduire," participating in over ten theatrical productions in Roman venues such as Agorà, Elettra, and Parco Tiburtino. At just 17, she wrote, directed, and performed in the play Le jeu du Théâtre: Prima del provino, staged at Teatro Elettra in Rome. At 18, she expanded her artistic repertoire by working as a radio host at Radio Incontro 105.8. In 2010, Ludovica pursued advanced training at the prestigious New York Film Academy, directing several short films and solidifying her artistic and technical vision. Upon returning to Italy, she further honed her skills at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, Italy’s leading film institute, which served as a launchpad for her cinematic career. In 2014, Ludovica produced and directed the web series Desesperados, a Spanish-language sitcom that was selected for numerous international festivals. In 2015, she wrote, directed, and produced the documentary Too Much Stress from My Heart, tackling the harrowing topic of illegal immigration. Shot between Morocco and Italy, the film premiered at the Rome Film Festival in the Panorama section of Alice nella Città and won Best Foreign Film at the American Movie Awards. It was distributed across Europe by Mediaset and streamed on Netflix between 2017 and 2019, reaching audiences in the United States, Australia, the UK, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, and Ireland. In 2016, Ludovica founded her own production company, LULIFILM, dedicated to the production and distribution of feature films, documentaries, TV series, music videos, and short films. In 2019, she wrote, directed, and starred in a new Spanish-language TV sitcom, Desesperados, consisting of 10 episodes of 30 minutes each. Her latest creative endeavor is the TV series Millennials (2024), comprising 7 episodes of 56 minutes each. Distributed by Mediterráneo (Mediaset España Group) in Spain and Latin America, and by Rai Com in Italy, France, and other European and international territories, the series explores contemporary and complex themes such as stalking, toxic dynamics, psychological violence, family conflicts, the impact of social media, and sexual issues with both depth and humor.
